Mila is awesome, but I don't get a ton of one-on-one time with her. We do some craft exercises, so if you're into that sort of thing, you'll get some of that. I'm personally not crazy about craft exercises so I could take or leave that part. What I find with these Grub Street classes--this is my second one--is that the main thing you get is community. The Novel Generator is kind of expensive, so everyone in it is serious about finishing a draft of their novel by the end of the class. I'm finding the community in it is great for support and accountability. Writing can feel very lonely, so that's been helping me a lot. Happy to answer more specific questions if you have them, too!
Do you like the Grubstreet class? I'm debating joining one of their novel writing workshops
[I'm Senior Haus alum '17, I got linked to you by Alex List]
Hey, nice to meet you! I do like the class. I'm currently in the Novel Generator with Mila Jaroniec. (She writes Black Lipstick -- https://blacklipstick.substack.com/p/want-makes-a-novel).

I am so glad you're feeling better! And being much kinder to yourself, it sounds like.
Now tell me where the photo is from – I want to go there.
